Lapbooking

J, the artist, is deep in thought! Creating, drawing, coloring...lapbooking is going to be a hit with this one!
C is thrilled to get to use all of mom's Creative Memories tools and gadgets! Happy, happy, joy, joy!
B enjoys creating and coming up with his own way of doing things...I know he will add his own spin to these books!J is so proud of the cover of his Creation lapbook...especially the cute little faces he drew into the words! That's how he rolls, always thinking OUTSIDE of the box!
C shows off his Creation lapbook.
J and his finished product...so happy!

I have several friends who have been using lapbooking in their home school routine. I didn't want to overwhelm myself or the boys our first years of schooling, so I set aside this thought. Recently, the twins completed Lego lapbooks. Today, we began working on creation and dinosaur lapbooks. In two weeks, during our Ancient Egypt unit study, we will complete books on that subject. I have pulled resources from several websites, the ones below are my favorites.

Also, I was able to buy enough (colorful) folders and card stock today to make about 100 lapbooks. Cost? $28! Check out these links for supplies...

I plan to keep the folders as they are (not tri-folding, as most lapbooks are made), 3 hole punch them (prior to assembly, to keep holes open) and use rubbder bands to hold two or more together (when needed) to make books. Each of the boys will have a huge binder to store completed books.
