I have been privileged to be a part of the most incredible experience of my life! June 12-17, I walked into a local public high school with 99 youth and 20+ other adults (full time volunteers). Throughout the week, we had another 20+ adults in and out. 11 or more churches were represented as we exalted the ONE TRUE GOD. That school became our home, the auditorium became a sanctuary. We worshipped and wept as we felt God's presence. We were overtaken and overwhelmed by His love. Many came to Christ for the first time. Others felt the wind of His spirit and were refueled by His love. Each day, from about 9-3, we went out into our community to bless others. We labored and loved. We were the hands and feet of Jesus. Each work team was comprised of people from DIFFERENT churches and denominations. We united and we felt the the blessing of God all over us. In the evenings, we had service together and we PLAYED together! I had more FUN than I can ever remember having in one week. The best part of it all is that this event occurred on our own turf. Many of the youth caught the vision and want to go back to help the community. They are begging for "after party" services to spur them on in their faith. The new believers are hungry for relationship and discipleship. Since they live right here, we can offer that to them! We built bonds with folks from other churches, tearing down walls and barriers. This generation was willing to do what most adults would not...they came together, laid aside their differences and found their common ground in Jesus Christ. This is a movement that will sweep our nation, and our world. I am seeing prayers answered that I have been praying for decades....Come, Lord, take Your rightful place! Every knee will bow, every tongue will confess...the greatest treasure is for those who choose You NOW...
