At the start of 2012, I took Sarah Young's challenge to ♥. In "Jesus Calling," she asks us to pray these simple words, in all things and at all times..."Jesus, I trust You."
While reading Brennan Manning's "The Furious Longing of God," I wept as he asked us to consider praying the following words. "Abba, I belong to You."
Try it...when your ♥ is troubled and you don't know where to turn, pray ..."Jesus, I trust You." Several times a day, when you feel alone or abandoned, discouraged or disappointed, helpless or hopeless, utter the prayer, "Abba (DADDY!!!), I belong to You."
These two prayers are so simple, so childlike. And yet, they require greater measures of faith and trust than the most lofty petition. ♥
