What the Word Says: Rest

“And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done.” Genesis 2:2 )NKJV)

“Six days you shall do your work, and on the seventh day you shall rest, that your ox and your donkey may rest, and the son of your female servant and the stranger may be refreshed.” Exodus 23:12 (NJKV)

“Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him.” Psalm 37:7 (NKJV)

“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!“ Psalm 46:10 (NKJV)

“Return to your rest, O my soul, For the LORD has dealt bountifully with you.” Psalm 116:7

“For thus says the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel: “In returning and rest you shall be saved; In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.” Isaiah 30:15

“But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV)

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 (NKJV)
