Yesterday the boys' vitamins ran out. Not a huge problem, but since we no longer carry a membership to Costco, I was a bit bummed. I didn't want to bother anyone else by asking them to run into the store for me. I stopped by one of our local thrift/overstock stores and there on the shelf, for the first time ever, was a bottle of the vitamins we use. The lid was broken, but the seal was intact. The price? $7.30 for 220 vitamins. I usually pay $9.99 and that is a great price, so I was thrilled. Right beside the vitamins were seven boxes of Airborne Pixie Power sticks and a three pack of regular Airborne tables. I spent $32.00 and walked away with enough vitamins and Airborne to last us two months. That total is so much cheaper than a visit to the doctor's office! A small price to pay! I felt as though Someone put those vitamins right there, just for me! Thanks!
Our new routine is to give the boys two gummy vitamins each day, along with an extra dose of Vitamin C. When we have been around other people, we throw in the Airborne as well. I don't know if it's working, but so far our boys have had a healthy fall/early winter. When they do catch something, it quickly disappears. We are desperate for some healthy months, after the trying year we've had in our home. We are grateful for every healthy day we get!
