2. morally right or justifiable: righteous indignation.
3. acting in an upright, moral way; virtuous: a righteous and godly person.
Righteous isn't defined as perfect. However, a righteous person is someone who follows God's ways, who is upright and holds up His standards. These verses (and the use of the word "righteous" in both of them) prompted me to look up this definition...
