Arizona Trip--Day 2

Since we arrived so late/early in the morning, we slept in our first morning in Scottsdale. We had been greeted by our gracious hosts, T and C and their sweet pug pups, Whoopie and Winnie. We were settled into two beautiful rooms and given our own private bathroom to use. The T's home is spacious, with a well planned layout and doors and windows were left open to allow breezes to blow through. We felt welcome and at home from the start. It is an honor to have mentors/leaders in our lives who love God with all their hearts and who want to walk in relationship with others. Seeing them in their "natural habitat" helped us to understand them better and appreciate them even more.

T and C made us a lovely breakfast and then we set out for a desert hike. Since it was our first day, they kept the hike easy and we were able to enjoy the landscape and sights of the desert. The guys picked up "In and Out" burgers and fries on the way home and we ate lunch together. We rested for the afternoon and later in the evening, K and N came over for dinner. K is the founder of Life Partners and we call him "Papa N." We are so grateful to the N's for their leadership and the ways they pour into couples' lives each week. I don't know if our family would still be together without the ministry of LP. We are so very grateful to them and to God for the ways they have led us closer to Him and to healing.
