Wednesday morning we woke up and began our journey north. The landscape was breathtaking. We drank in the beauty of deserts, snow capped mountains, towering Saguaro cacti, and rich red rock formations. We detoured a bit to explore Sedona, and we were so glad that we took the time to do so! We toured the Chapel of the Holy Cross, climbed the rocks near the airport to take in some awesome views and ate our lunch at the airport, watching several planes take off. After lunch, we packed up and headed to the Grand Canyon. We arrived just in time to jump on a shuttle bus and be dropped off to watch the sunset. The vastness, the magnificence, the splendor of the canyon cannot be described adequately! My heart pounded as I peered down, it took my breath away. I held onto the boys, for fear that one might make a wrong move and plunge downward. How do people take small children to visit the canyon? Over and over, my mind sang the words "How Great Is Our God."
