Spring Fever

Outside my open window, the sun shines. Birds chirp. My boys are more than anxious to be out, running, playing and riding their bikes. We muddled through this morning's classes. Barely. No one was able to focus. WHO CAN CONCENTRATE on math and spelling words when it is this beautiful out? WHO?

Three new babies are coming to mommies that I love, any day now. There is a sense of excitement and expectancy (literally) in the air. I keep calling and texting one friend, then I remember how annoying it was to have someone do that to me. This is a glorious season to be bringing a baby into the world!

I am trying not to get my hopes up too much. I heard that we were going to get more snow before spring came along. Is it too soon to hope that someone got that forecast all wrong? I know that March and April are both unpredictable months. We can have a tease or a taste of spring and then be thrown back into the cold, dreary, rainy and even snowy cycle again.

We will enjoy this while it lasts. When the sun shines, I will be certain the boys are outside for as many hours as possible. The week before last, they were outside on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for five or six hours each day. The weekend was cold and rainy and I could see how that affected all of our moods. Throw in losing an hour with daylight savings and we have been sleepy all week long. Today is the first break from rain since Friday and we will take advantage of it.

Spring, is that you? Are you here to stay for awhile? Shh, don't tell the others, but you are my very FAVORITE season of all!
