Learning and Playing Together...

Second day of home school, August 18, 2009. I asked B to do the geography lesson and he did a fabulous job. He read the required pages, demonstrated on the globe and added his own insights. I am realizing, once again, that he is one very smart young man. He could very well be a teacher one day. He's interesting to listen to, engages his audience and speaks in a way that anyone can understand.Professor B...
Last Friday, one of our final days of summer, I asked each boy to pick an activity for us to do together. C chose an electricity experiment.
Always the big brother, leader, teacher, B quickly stepped in to be sure the experiment was done correctly.
Sweet little hands, setting up the next activity. J's choice was painting....
Twins, hard at work.
J loves to do art, any and every chance he gets!
Our masterpiece, a joint effort!
B's choice for the day was a Nerf shoot out! Yippee!!
Mama and B....Nerf wars at their best...We ended the morning with a movie picnic, my choice! I laid lunch out on the floor in front of the TV, popped in "Charlotte's Web..." and fell asleep before the Ferris wheel scene. I tried to stay awake, but I am one tired mama!
