Sunday morning we found out that my Grandad had to go back to the ER for numbness in his hands and arms.
He went in about a month ago with the same symptoms and was released after a stress test that said his heart was fine.
Now, they decided he has had two small heart attacks since that time.
He went in to have stints placed to determine the degree of the blockages, then found there was too much damage and that he need a triple or quadruple bypass.
His surgery is set for Thursday morning.
I spent a few hours visiting him on Sunday and today I went in for about four hours.
Grandad’s spirits are high, he knows that no matter what happens, he will be in God’s hands.
His salvation is sure and he has led many to Jesus, several on their deathbeds.
As the steady flow of visitors came and went, I was reminded of how many lives he has touched.
Is he perfect? Of course not!
But, Grandad has lived to proclaim the goodness of God to everyone he meets.
At 84, he faces this invasive surgery with peace in his heart, knowing who he believes in, persuaded that He is able.
