The boys and I have been enjoying the TLC show "Jon and Kate Plus 8" on DVD this week. A friend lent it to us and we watch several 20 minute episodes each day during quiet time. I get tired and feel so stressed just watching the show. Some days, it flat gives me a headache to hear all those sweet three-year-olds crying in unison. I think the other reason it wears me out is that I flash back to when I had three in diapers. I know, three is nothing compared to eight. Still, it was exhausting. I am trying to determine when the show airs, as I have not seem many winter episodes. I wonder what it's like when all eight are sick. Do they all throw up at the same time? That would send me to the loony bin. Maybe God has not allowed such things to happen to them, but I wonder how likely it is that they have been spared. My heart goes out to any mom who is doing the best she can, day in and day out, to serve her family. Whether she has one little one or two six-year-olds and six three-year-olds. God bless mommies! Being a mom is the best job on earth, but it sure is exhausting.
I have added the Gosselin's family site to my blog list, take a peek when you have time.

BTW--have you seen any new episodes when they move into their new house that is HUGE? Then, Jon takes the 6 out into the woods for a walk/hike and totally predicts how it will unravel--it's HORRIBLE and I laughed so hard....he's so laid back and doesn't get too frazzled...I about peed my pants though, when he took the whole stick collection from one of the boys (Joel I think) and just snaps and chucks them, b/c he's at the end of his rope...and that's as "bad" of a Daddy, that he gets. SIX KIDS in the woods? No. Way. Jose. LOL!
