I received the following email from another mom today. I asked her for permission to share, deleted the child's name, but this was too profound to keep to myself.
I thought this was too precious(and convicting) not to share. This morning (my son) was dealing with an issue with a couple of his siblings. In an attempt to calm him down and get his thoughts together I had him sit down at the table to figure out what was going on inside his heart. Within minutes he started crying and came over to me to tell how sorry he was. When I asked him why he was responding this way, and so quickly, he blurted out "I don't want my bones to rot Mom!!!!" (He) had learned (a) memory verse in children's church, Proverbs 14:30 "A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones."
Today I am asking for childlike faith.
