Once upon a time, my
new found friend,
KE, invited me to be her
roomie during a Joyce Meyer conference. I thought about it for a few minutes, then she added "And Darlene
Zschech will be leading worship." I didn't have to think any more. As soon as I had D's blessing, I wrote out the check for the deposit and began planning to go!

We took a charter bus and were hosted by pastors D and R. I love these folks so much. They are among my favorite people and I enjoy hanging out with them every chance I get. They pastor a flock of 300+ and many friends and family members attend there. They are "people people" and true shepherds to the ones God brings there way. They walk in His light and with integrity, ministering to many who don't even walk through their church doors.

Two precious sisters went along, with about 30+ others. I've known CS for about ten years, we used to go to church together. I've known AC for about 15 years. I am so glad that God worked out the details so that we could all attend the conference together.

An added treat was getting to meet BB for lunch on Friday. BB and I were in youth group together many years ago. She has been so dear to me for so long. I think this was the first time I had seen her since I sang in her wedding 11 years ago. I love you so much, B and I pray for God to make Himself so real to you during the coming days.

This is the wonderful Embassy Suites hotel where we stayed. It was walking distance from where we met.

Joyce Meyer brought a timely word about the Fruit of the Spirit. I know I need to dig deeper, grow up in Him and in my testimony of who He is in my life. I want to learn to "Shut my mouth and live it loud." Walk the walk and quit trying to talk the talk. My story is being written, what will it say about me? It's time to go "to a whole new level."

As stated, the worship with Darlene
Zschech and the team from
Hillsong was what drew me to the conference. I have listened to the worship that comes from Darlene for over 15 years. The first song of hers that I ever learned and led was "Shout to the Lord." We sang it in our wedding. I took that same CD to the hospital with me when B was born. When nurses and doctors entered our room, they commented on how peaceful things were. I took another
Hillsong CD with me when the twins were born. It is safe to say that Darlene and her music have been with me during all the milestones of my life in the past 15 years. The worship that flows freely from her has ministered hope and healing to me in the darkest moments of life. The upbeat praise songs have taken me to higher heights of celebration as well. I thank God for this woman and for the ways He has used her to minister His power all over the world.

Darlene!

"This Is Our God." Powerful time in the presence of the King of Kings.
