Last night the boys and I had a movie night while D was at the home show. We baked a pizza and put in "Bedtime Stories." It was a pretty decent movie, except for some of the names that were assigned and the gassy horse. I can live without vulgar additions.
As we prepared to watch the movie, B asked, "Mom, what genre is this movie?" I told him I thought it was a children's or family movie. "Well, it SHOULD be a COMEDY. It's so funny." Genre? I had no idea what that word meant when I was ten!
Later, he spoke of the main character and said, "He often meets his destiny on the road he takes to avoid it." This may or may not be a quote from Kung Fu Panda. Regardless, his use of this in that moment blew me away. I'm telling you folks, we have a (very) smart one here!
