When Will My Energy Return?

Fall has finally come to our house. I put out the fall accents today, wondering if I should even bother at this late date. This sign was a gift from my dear friend N. Every time I wash dishes, I will think of her. We love the coziness of fall.
The Baker Family, Willow Tree style. D put these figurines together for me last year.
My Willow Tree collection.

The flu hit on Monday night. It's three days later and I still feel like I've been hit by a truck. I got up late, but decided to go ahead and do my two mile workout. Whew. I thought I would fall over. Let's just say, there was no "extra give" in this workout, but I can still log it. I keep track of how many miles I walk each day, with a goal of 60 miles each month. I hit the goal in September and don't want to fall behind in October.

The boys were starting their Bible lesson by 8:15. We had an "ok" day, they really worked hard while I sat in a trance like state and supervised. We finally went online last night and ordered a new math curriculum for Brandt. When that arrives, we will all be relieved. His A Beka lessons have been taking over 90 minutes each day, not including homework. He gets so discouraged and we both feel like we're playing catch up the rest of the day. The A Beka work tends to be about a grade level ahead of most other materials, so we are going to give him a break and switch to Math U See.

Tomorrow, health willing, the twins set out on an adventure with their CCS classmates. B and I will get his work done, then he will set off with D for the rest of the day. They will stay in at Dad's while I host a 24 hour Creative Memories crop at our house. Tired? Yes. Will I be even more so in 24 hours? Probably. I won't try to stay up the whole night. But I bet some will...
