My two "H's" came over for lunch. I love these gals so much. HM was only three or four when I met her. She is the daughter of P and G, he pastored the church where I first led worship. Every Sunday, HM would come up to me and give me hugs just before I led. We had a bond then and her sweet spirit helped me to lead others into worship. She was my flower girl when D and I got married. It's hard to believe she will graduate from high school this spring. HY is also very special to me. I've known her since she was in her mommy's belly. Her parents helped to lead youth group when I was in high school. Later, they would be our small group leaders. HY is a junior this year and it has been a blessing to see her grow into a beautiful young woman. The two gals are good friends and I am lucky they fit me into their busy weekend schedule!
My J took on both girls in a round of "ZigZag." He won the first game, then they teamed up to take him the second time. Then...The real competition began as they took on each other...Something about blondes...Hmm...I'm not sure I like this side of you, HY!
"My girls and my guys!" I love them all!
Beautiful young ladies, inside and out!
Later in the afternoon, this group of ladies dropped by for a visit. Since P was in town, I sent out an invitation to some of the ladies who used to be in small group/church when she was here. We have all missed P and this gave us a good reason to get together. I love these women. They are "Lifers," indeed. Precious friendships that were God given and have stood the tests of time, distance, hardships, life. One of my goals this year is to spend time with each of my "Lifers," to carve out little visits with those who have been by my side for the past 10-20 years. Today was a great way to start that new resolve! God bless each one, thank You for allowing me the opportunity to spend some time with them and be with those who could not join us today.
