We had another blessed time of worship this morning, I felt the presence of Jesus in a real way. In moments like that, I can look out and see His power being poured out. Do we soak it in so that it can leak out all week long? I sure hope so. I could see how the worship was touching hearts and I pray that we will not be the same people once we taste and see how good He is. Tonight, D and I attended another church to watch "Fireproof." It was a blessing to walk through the doors of another church and feel so welcome.
I am excited about what I believe is churning and burning around us. For so long, I have longed to see the churches of our community come together and worship, finding our common ground in Jesus, forgetting the areas where we may differ. Through the years, it has been a joy to build lasting friendships with people from other churches. I am feeling an excitement growing in me. In the past few days I have been made aware of friends who are now attending a local church, one that I am feeling very connected to. These friends are ones I have walked with through some very trying times, now my sisters from another church are loving on them, taking care of them. My heart rejoices to see the ways the Body of Christ is extending a hand to those who are hurting. Regardless of our doctrines or denominational preferences, His work is getting done as we all come together. It's only then that the world will take note and say, "Hey those Christians are actually loving each other, accepting one another, getting along. I think I want some of that!" Body of Christ, it's time. Here in the valley, all across the nation, all around the world, it is time. Time to take a stand and declare that Jesus is the One we adore. He is the One we will follow. And His greatest commands to us are to love Him and to love others. Jesus, be glorified!
