My mom, a.k.a. "Granni" stopped by for breakfast.
Then, on to my grandparents' house to visit, eat and eat. The highlight of the year was the birth of baby L. He lit up the whole room with his sweet smile. He adores "little people" so he had to hang out with my boys.
My dear cousin, S with baby L. She is like a sister to me, we are more alike than we even realize. I didn't spend much time with S when we were kids, but as adults we are finding a true friendship. We try to talk at least two or three times a month and go to visit them each summer.
The boys. My guys love this baby boy so much and have nicknamed him "Leroy." "Little suit, little shoes!"
Dad's bro, my cousin, dad's sis and dad.
So many people in such a small space. TRADITIONS die hard...On the menu? Beef, ham, meatballs, chicken, macaroni and cheese, scalloped potatoes, green beans, sweet potato casserole, salad, deviled eggs, pickles, chipped beef dip, ham spread, crackers, veggie pizza, cookies, pies, pudding desert, punch...Oh my goodness!
"Let the games begin." We decided to take some of our favorite games along to give the kids (and bigger kids) something to do. This is a big improvement over having a TV blaring. Of course, there was still plenty of noise with all those people in that one room!B and his buddy, M. M got a new drum set for Christmas. Wow! I thought B would be jealous, but he seemed truly happy for M. I can learn a lot from my kids! B spent the night with M and they had a great time catching up.
