Eight Highlights In 08

#8--A new church. It has been a joy to be on a worship team with some very gifted and yet humble musicians/vocalists. I feel that I am finding my way back to the heart of worship and have been so blessed by the times we've shared together.

#7--Time at home. With the above change, I have been able to be at home almost every night of the week, with my family. We are committed to attending only one event each week and the rest of the evenings you can find us at home, eating dinner, getting through homework, playing games, reading and just being together.

#6--Face Book. It has been a joy to find so many long lost friends this year through Face Book. I've even been able to get together with some of the ones who live close by.

#5--Blogging. I have always enjoyed writing and try to put something in my journal each day, hoping that I will one day write a book about the ups and downs of life. Several people had been encouraging me to start a blog and in the fall I took the plunge.

#4--Exercise. Really. Anyone who knows me can attest to the face that I do not like to exercise and I don't have one athletic bone in my body. Thank goodness for Leslie Sansone's DVD's, I am taking better care of myself and had a goal to walk 60 miles each month in 08.

#3--Junior year of Christ Quest Institute. It's hard to believe that D and I have been with this ministry for three years. In 09 we will begin again and anticipate all that God will teach us along the way as we learn to be more like Jesus.

#2--Home schooling. We began praying about this option in the fall of 07. I am so blessed to be a stay-at-home mom who gets to spend every day with my boys. We are all so much more at peace and relaxed now.

#1--Getting "first things first." Finding my way back to the basics of life, faith and family. Wow, what a difference it has made to be at home more and engaged as a family. I am right where I am supposed to be!
