I Will Carry You
When sorrow floods your soul
And spills from your eyes
I will carry you
When the questions come
And outnumber the answers
I will carry you
When hope seems to hide
Its face from your eyes
I will carry you
When sorrow floods your soul
And spills from your eyes
I will carry you
When the questions come
And outnumber the answers
I will carry you
When hope seems to hide
Its face from your eyes
I will carry you
When doubt screams
And drowns out your faith
I will carry you
When you cry, when you laugh
When you’re stuck in the middle
I will carry you
When your strength is gone
And you want to give up
I will carry you
I won’t let you go
I won’t abandon you now
I will carry you

My dear friend, JR, lost her mother one year ago. I wrote this poem in the summer after two dear ladies lost loved ones, but I knew it would be a piece that could be used for many others. Dear Lord, watch over J and hold her close to Your heart today. Comfort her with the comfort only You can give.
