Refreshing Day

Our family visited B church today. The transition to a smaller church has been really hard on our boys. They were accustomed to having 20-30 in children's church each week. Now, there may be five or six, sometimes our boys are the only ones in class. We have told them that it is important to us that they get to be a part of a youth group one day, so we are praying about what that means. Also, as we are home schooling, we want to be certain that they get plenty of interactions with other children. They enjoy going to B and I do too, as it is the church I grew up in. After a refreshing service, we went to the S home for lunch. These friends are so dear to our hearts, we can be real and honest with each other. They have built a beautiful home, but more importantly, they are building a family and learning to let go of other things that distract them from that number one ministry. The boys fell in love with the woods and land around the house, they built and fort and a fire and they were reluctant to leave when the time came.
