This morning the boys were able to cash in their "Bonus Bucks" from October. I gave them the play money and they bought items from my stash. Each day the boys have a chance to earn a "Blessing Bubble" which goes into a cup. When that cup overflows, they choose a fun activity to do with the family. At the end of the month, they also get one "Bonus Buck" for each day they earned the bubble...So they can earn individual and team incentives.
J had the hardest time choosing what he wanted. I could see the wheels spinning!
This is how I found J at the end of the day...I think it was his way of saying "Let's call it a day!"
C joined in the fun. Wacky, stretchy boy times two. I try to allow the boys plenty of stretch breaks. A friend recently told me that children and animals know when to stretch. Most of us adults will sit in one position for hours without taking a break and it is so unhealthy. I can see this with the boys, they are always twisting, turning, standing on their heads, cracking their joints. God did not create little boys to sit still. Can I get an amen? Again, the beauty of home school! Stretch all you want, kiddos!
