Thanksgiving

The guys, just hanging out.
Grandad watched "Home Alone" for the first time. He laughed so hard, and I laughed at him laughing...
More on the family...
Watching "Home Alone," this may be a new Thanksgiving tradition.
Our day was pretty laid back. We didn't have to be at my aunt and uncle's until 2 and I only prepared two simple dishes (side note, next time I will ask who else is preparing dessert so we don't both bring the exact same thing! I made my Grandma a Pumpkin Turtle Pie for her birthday and she brought two...I made a less sweet version of the same recipe. No choices today, if someone didn't like pumpkin, they were out of luck!). We ate around 3 and groaned until 4 and then ate dessert. The boys went out and took a little walk, so they need hot chocolate to warm up and they hit the mashed potatoes and gravy while they drank. The ladies (just me, Grandma and my aunt) spent over an hour trying to find homes of leftovers and washing dishes. At 6, "Home Alone" came on and we all crashed to watch it for the 100th time. My dad and aunt adore the series, so it was fun to watch it with them. The best part was watching my Grandad watch it, for the first time. When I am not so tired, I'll post a photo of him CRACKING UP at all the traps that were set for the addle-brained crooks. Home by 8:30, all three boys fell into their beds, all partied out...I plan to get up at 5 and head out for some shopping...Nothing urgent, as all my shopping is done. But my Grandma asked if I'd help her with some of her shopping so I have a new mission. Above all, I want to ENJOY the experience and be a kind and patient soul out there...Not a greedy, grumpy one. Will I succeed in spreading some holiday cheer? I hope so!

Hey-I decided to take back all sweat suits, except for your boys. No need to double up. I can save a lot that way.

How'd the rest of your day go? We got our tree for "cheap"--almost 20-40 more than most lots-at Home Depot, tonight. It's "stretching it's arms" and we'll deco tomorrow.
